Meadow Rue Merrill

Meadow Rue Merrill is a former farm girl who grew up believing God had great plans for her life. As a wife, mother and award-winning writer, Meadow was living that plan in Midcoast Maine when her life fell apart. In the months that followed, she questioned everything she believed and discovered the meaning of trust, a journey she shares in, “Redeeming Ruth,” the forthcoming memoir about the adoption and loss of her daughter.

For two decades Meadow has written about Maine people, politics, and places. She now shares about God in her every day world through her weekly blog, “Faith Notes.” She is also a speaker, children’s writer, avid reader and advocate for orphans and people with disabilities who believes that God wants to love the needy and broken through us—even though we are needy and broken too. Meadow is a graduate of Gordon College with a B.A. in English and is a proud member (when she can afford it) of the Redbud Writers Guild, SCBWI, and the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
